Somerset Open Studios and the Arctic

Well I'm still in Shetland and taking the laid-back approach to the fast approaching Somerset Open Studios event - September 17th - 25th. 
I shall be working in my studio... it will be messy - I have a solo show to work for!

So the Arts Council has seen fit to reject my funding bid for my Arctic research trip. It's like getting blood out of a stone, and the amount of time it take and contortions one has to go through to write the applications makes me feel that it's just not worth applying!!. So I have made some more small paintings on card to sell to support my Arctic trip - here's one of them.

 I will be opening my studio during Somerset Open Studios

If you would like to pop in and pay me a visit then come along from Saturday September 17th - 25th, 11am - 6pm Venue 78, Church Street Studios - 1st floor (see map)

(please note that Open studios continues until Oct 2nd but I am only open for the first week)

Three other artists will also be opening their studios in Lower Coleford: David Parfitt RI, Andrew Scott George, and Val George

With refreshments being served in the Mendip Room at weekends, what more could you ask! Certainly worth a trip.
